Mark Archer

An amateur-of-all-trades, Mark Archer is a struggling athlete, theoretical inventor, armchair critic of everything on TV, and veterinarian for his cat named Kitty and her two goldfish.  He is also the sole investigative reporter for his school newspaper—The Panorama Panda.

Among his many talents as a student at Parkview Junior High, Mark is a dreamer.  Literally.  Dreaming is one of his most favorite sports.  According to his Dreamfiles (the official playbook of Mark's dream-formations) he holds a personal world record for having relatively few nightmares!

Greg Ular

Greg is Mark's best friend.  While perhaps not the brightest kid on the block, Greg is definitely the warmest—in a loyal heartfelt sort of way.  He'll tag along with any of Mark's crazy ideas no matter how crazy . . . as long as nobody gets hurt .

Darcy Ular

Darcy is the twin sister of Mark's best friend Greg.  Older than Greg by a mere five minutes, Darcy is not afraid to show off her 4.0 intellect, sometimes acting eons older than her twin brother.  And although he would never admit it, Mark feels that Darcy would make the keenest lab partner ever.

Annie Archer

As the town architect and mother to Mark Archer, Annie is constantly on the go.  She knows every corner of every building she designed, including Parkview Junior High.  Using trap doors and secret passageways, Annie has earned a reputation as a superhero of sorts . . . disappearing and reappearing when least expected, armed with her faithful walking staff—the Legendary Action Stick!

Allen Archer

Mark Archer's father has Level Two Clearance in a top secret research facility.  But that's nothing special.  Visitors to the facility are automatically given Level One Clearance down in the lobby.  And they can easily see what's going on in Level Two by staring through a large window.

Someday Allen hopes he'll get promoted to Level Three where there aren't any windows or doors—ultimate privacy!  Until then, he keeps busy perfecting his Yo-Yo Particle Accelerators and his Electromagnetic Anti-Squish Slippers.

 Grandpa Marsh

Among Mark Archer's grandparents, Grandpa Marsh is the bravest but also the most irresponsible.  In the name of science, he is willing to bind his arms and legs in plasma girdles, which are necessary in keeping the plasma hula-hoop afloat, which is, in turn, useful in trimming down plasma-like love handles and potbellies.  It's just one of many irresponsible experiments that Grandpa Marsh conducts with Mark's scientist father.

Kram and Gerg

These two goldfish have a suspicious likeness to Mark and his spiky-haired friend Greg.  The goldfish even have the same names as their human counterparts, only spelled backwards.

But Kram and Gerg live in a magical place: a hologram fishbowl.  They may swim in circles, but in a heartbeat the scenery can change from a peaceful prairie to a bustling Martian city.  Even more amazing, the fishbowl is rigged to amplify fish thoughts!  Mark can easily follow along with his goldfishes' adventures, which are as vastly entertaining as the audio section of his local library.

Kitty

Not much is known about Mark Archer's cat.  One thing is certain: She responds favorably to the name Kitty.  But she is way past the cutesy kitten age and is more of a cutesy senior citizen . . . or to be more exact, she's more of an enigmatically fishy cutesy senior citizen. . . .
